If anything he lived a full life, even though he never did take his own advise. He died at the age of 91 on January 28th 2010 alone in his home in New Hampshire. Fans of his would gather around his house on a daily basis to try and talk to him. But he lived the life of a hermit and seldom went outdoors at all.
